Ministry confirms spending 44 bln rbl on precious metals in 2022

MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry will spend all the planned 44 billion rubles to purchase precious metals in 2022, the metals will be sent to the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones until the end of the year, Director of the ministry’s precious metals and gems state regulation department Yulia Goncharenko said on Tuesday.

“As to purchases of the metals… we will have the sum in the budget of 44 billion rubles fully spent until the end of the year on purchases of precious metals. It has not been spent completely yet… but the metals will arrive at the state fund until the end of the year,” she said.

Goncharenko also said that the government will send around 50 billion rubles on the purchases in 2023.
